Default how much fluid????
I plan on changing my 99 frc rear difff and 6 speed tranny fluid tomorrow...does anyone know how much is in each?

I just did my `03 diff. It took a little under 1.8 qt. The trans is aprox. 3.75 qt.

Don't forget to pick up the 4oz bottle of GM friction modifier for the diff at the local stealer, about $12. Drain old fluid, install drain plug, then add the friction modifier first, then synthetic GL-5 gear oil.

Yep just under 2 quarts. Depending on what fluid you get it may already have the limited slip additive in it, like the Redline 75W90 synthetic that I used recently.
