Default Seat lumbar adjustment problem

The pictures below hopefully will help in describing this. The lumbar adjustment and the side seat adjustments arent working on the drivers seat. I took the "module" out of the bag, 1st picture, and hooked the seat back up. When I tried the 3 lumbar/side adjustment switches all I am getting is a click from the gray "switch" in pictures 2 and 3. What would be my next step in diagnosing this to find the actual problem?

I think the grey item is the bleed-off solenoid, it must be working. Check for voltage to the pump when trying to inflat bladders.

Check Fuse #3.

Correction---------The Grey item must be the Pressure Switch.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm having similar issues with my 2K. I push the lumbar switches, and nothing happens on either seat. I hear the motors, but nothing happens. Could the bladders be busted?

The bladder nipples have probably disintigrated from the heat. Seems to be a weak point in the C5 seats. Very expensive to replace the stock parts. Use blood pressure cuff bladders to replace the stock bladders. The bladders can be bought at Wal Mart for $40 total (2 pediatric and 2 adult) in the pharmacy area.

Sorry to jump in.

What is the item in photo number one called? I actually need a new one of those. One of mine is broke where the hose clamps on to the unit for the top lumbar bladder.

Look at the schematic in post #3. If you're talking the circuit board with all the componets on it, it's called a Seat Pump Driver.

Looking at the photos above can anyone tell me who is the maker is of the 3 air vacuum solinoids? I know Johnson Electric makes the motor and pump, ZETTLER makes relays.

Thanks

Since this was bumped, I want to let you all know that before I left for my deployment, I tore the seat down and all of the bladder connections were busted as well as most of the lines had disinigrated. I am going to need new lines and new bladders. THe motor still wasnt pumping air and fuse #3 is good. Never did get a chance to hit it with a multi meter to narrow down the problem. This will be one of my first projects when I get back. I wish the bladders were not so exphensive. I did have a forum member offer to sell me his, but it is still to much money. May just live with it....

Guys,

I had the same bladder problem with my C5 sport seat bladders. Heres a link that i posted on the C5Forum to how i repaired my bladders. It looks crude but it cost me $15.00 to repair the 8 bladders and they are working like new.
