Default vararam filter change question

The Z06 I bought just recently came with this air box set up and I want to check out the filter condition how are you guys removing the filter ? Do you have to lossen the boot at the throttle body or the one by the mass air flow ? I was also trying to unplug the mass air flow clip from its body and seem to be having some problems their also. This is so simple I hate to ask but I dont want to break anything and being plastic it would not take much to do it. Thanks in advance for any tips.

I remove the silicone coupler at the throttle body.

The connector is black with a lighter gray locking "u" shaped clip.
You will see a black locking tab in the middle of the "u" if you look closely.
With a small flat blade screwdriver lift the tab enough to clear the locking tab with one hand while you pull on the gray u shaped locking clip.
Once the gray clip is out, the connector will pull off.

Thanks for the info. Will see how dirty the filter is tonight.
