You sure don't have to worry about the smog tests & I might be wrong, but I think technically no cats are not legal to operate in California. There have been stories of checkpoints with LEOs using mirrors. They might go easy on you having out of state plates.

I think they could do something if they wanted to if the law says you can't operate without cats, but in any event, I'm glad they cut you some slack for your service.

Last check they also used a smaller diameter tubing. They are not exactly the same as the other systems so it is not a complete apples to apples comparison. If people are happy, that is fine.

Ike, anyone could open a bag here and go into any ethics path...

cam only C5 would pollute more than the OE cam....

Then again, the dirty C5's may be better than the 8mpg H2's

Or what about the CHINA sourced ebay parts..........

one could turn this into a liberal college class BS session real quick

Man I don't care. Ill build my car the way I want, I really don't care what anyone says about it.I have seen cars that have cats that are worse than mine, and yes I do get more than 8mpg. 15mpg city and 27mpg on highway.

Had mine on for 3 years no issues , with 3" High flow cats had a local shop 417 motorsports fab my H pipe with SS to mate the cats to pipe and have band clamps up front. I know all about the non resident deal I originally installed these in cali while at Camp Pendleton. I think in all I have 500 bucks in them.

I though about adding them but I like the sound the way it is.
