Default Rear diff question

Looking at my RPO codes I should have 2:73 gears after looking into rmps at different speeds it showed 3:42.
So tonight while I was doing a oil change I was looking at the diff and it had a tag on it with these #'s
I = 3.42 SP (or 5P)
GM 125726883
GETRAG 6250001503
GS C 00154 (in a yellow box)
Can you tell by these #'s where the diff came from and what year it is, just trying to figure out everything that has been changed on my car before it was mine. Thanks for any help

You have a C5 Z06 differential 3.42 Sp designation is for the Z06 differential and stands for shot peened gears.
