Default S.S. Brakelines

Does anyone have any experience with stainless steel brake lines?? I have a set of Goodrich lines and I am wondering if the fit and clearances will be any problem.
Thanks!

I have DRM stainless lines on my car.....I keep getting c1225 codes every time I drive more than a few miles....The dealer said this is common, it seems that the steel lines interfere with the wheel speed sensors......anyone else have this problem or know of a solution

I have the Goodrich lines on my 2000 FRC. No problems at all. Just be careful with where the lines are located . The Goodrich lines are slightly longer than stock, and I was careful with how the line ran between the caliper and the connector on the wheel well. Otherwise it is straight forward.

Interesting, do you think the ss line interfere with the transmitter on the wheel tire pressure sensors?

I had the Russell brake SS lines and it threw codes all day long. I took it to the dealership and after extensive parts replacing, & phone calls. They found that the ground on the SS brake line was bad. I know this sounds stupid but... if the SS brake lines are not grounded properly they will interfere with the Wheel speed sensors and you will get codes/ AH, ABS & TC will shut off while driving the car.

When I switched to the Goodridge lines... the 4 month ordeal conserning the codes and :bs were instantly gone!! :yesnod:

I've got F45 and the Goodrich lines. No problems. Both the front and rear Goodrich lines are longer than stock. However, make sure the longer lines go on the rear.

I have the Goodrich and the only issue is that there is a tad of drag when turned full lock. Otherwise no issues and no codes.

I saw some other posts about 6 months ago that claimed other lines had to be demagnatized before installing.

Make sure you have the new copper washers before installing. Mine were missing and I had to go to the local part store in the middle of the install.
