Does anyone have any experience with stainless steel brake lines?? I have a set of Goodrich lines and I am wondering if the fit and clearances will be any problem.
Thanks!
I have DRM stainless lines on my car.....I keep getting c1225 codes every time I drive more than a few miles....The dealer said this is common, it seems that the steel lines interfere with the wheel speed sensors......anyone else have this problem or know of a solution
I have the Goodrich lines on my 2000 FRC. No problems at all. Just be careful with where the lines are located . The Goodrich lines are slightly longer than stock, and I was careful with how the line ran between the caliper and the connector on the wheel well. Otherwise it is straight forward.
I had the Russell brake SS lines and it threw codes all day long. I took it to the dealership and after extensive parts replacing, & phone calls. They found that the ground on the SS brake line was bad. I know this sounds stupid but... if the SS brake lines are not grounded properly they will interfere with the Wheel speed sensors and you will get codes/ AH, ABS & TC will shut off while driving the car.
When I switched to the Goodridge lines... the 4 month ordeal conserning the codes and :bs were instantly gone!! :yesnod:
I've got F45 and the Goodrich lines. No problems. Both the front and rear Goodrich lines are longer than stock. However, make sure the longer lines go on the rear.
