Brake Fluid & Anti lock ?
Hears my question to the tech guys .. I want to change my brake fluid and clutch fluid out the Car is a 99 FRC I wonder about the active handling and and anti lock systems ...should I have a shop do this or is this something that can be done by yourself or with a helper. I want to change because its probably the stock fluid and its pretty nasty looking the car only has 27000 miles I just bought it .... I was told to go to racing fluid ..if I ever want to take it on the track it would be required? Any thoughts or first hand experiences? and fluid recommends???

I personally would stick with something with a good wet boil point. I bleed my brakes all of the time. I also don't race my car constantly so why invest in high dollar fluid?
Stay away from silicon based fluid (Dot 5). This fluid does not mix well with DOT 3,4 or 5.1 or WATER.

Just make sure you do not let the master cylinder reservoir run dry and get air into the brake lines above the ABS brake pressure modulator. If you do that you will need to go to a shop that has a Tech 2 so you can bleed the air out of the unit.
Other than that a good DOT 3 fluid will work. If you are planning on tracking the car then Ford Super Duty fluid works very well. It has a 500 degree dry boiling point.
