thanks...! that's what I read more than once....was about to install the power duct last night and the instructions stated that if you have a recalibrated MAT sensor, drill a 3/8 hole, but if you have a factory one, drill a "larger hole".... I have a factory one still and I didn't want to drill a larger hole and then upgrade to something that required a smaller hole  smaller to larger works, but not the other way around......- especially if I wasn't sure about the thing .......and I'm glad I didn't install it, because it doesn't work as you stated. .......
I did the recalibrated/relocated MAT sensor as one of my first mods. I had a new Halltec TRIC installed along with headers and some other thins at Tony's Corvette Shop since then. Tony's resinstalled the after market MAT sensor.
I have since had Heads/cam and numerous other mods done by CARTEK along with the custom tuning that they provide. Cartek did not ask to unisnstall MAT or suggest that i do so.
If i hurt these places would have had me get rid of it. Maybe it helps my car. maybe not. I am sure it does not hurt it though.
The way I found out it was hurting my timing and AF ratio's was to run an ease program on it and try it with the unit on and then test it again with it off. Off was better. :) We also found out that day that the Granatelli MAF was screwing my car out of runnig correctly too. That was promptly taken off of the car also.
