Chris, resonance extemely good, hardly can hear at cruise, WOT is a Monster( Copmagnet).....................
Overall sound.......LOUD@ WOT, and Jim Hall likes it very much........has them on his '02 Z........

The system will have the same look as the 4 tip system pictured above.
Resonance is slight to little. I only noticed it at 1500 rpm in 6th gear. Nothing like the XR-1 system. Not sure about resonance in the autos. Seems anything and everything resonates in an auto. I do run a Bassani x pipe.
Borla dynoed the system on Jims 2001 car and the result was 11hp gain over the stock Ti system.
The 599.00 selling price of this new sytem(if we get 25 orders)is still well below the retail price of 699-750.00 of what it should be sold at. The 399.00 introductory price of the XR Stinger is a one time deal and the price will go up after the first initial kits are sold. So, in the future(if the 25 orders are taken), the 4 tip option will actually cost 100-150.00 more over the present two tip system, not 200.00. Borla has to factor several things into a new option so that is where the extra cost comes in...
Go to Jim Hall's site to see some great under car pics. Jim has a 2002 Z06, and that is the car he put the 2 pipe Stinger on. At the time he was there, there was a 2001 with the new Borla Shorty headers and the new Stinger on it there on the dyno too.
Jims quote of "cop magnet" might put this system in the same category as the SLP loudmouth, and we have all heard the story about the "guy" that had it installed, drove home, drove BACK to the shop and had it removed as it was to LOUD :yesnod:
I'm tempted, but PRT's are loud at WOT, SLP's are even louder, I am hoping Borla gets a sound clip, or someone that has heard the above mentioned systems and the new Stinger gives us some indepth comparisons :)

Would these be as LOUD as the muffler eliminators I installed and immediately removed from my 96 LT-1? That was the biggest mistake and waste of $200 I have ever spent. The droning and resonances were - putting it mildly "tooth rattling". My ears actually were ringing after a 30 minute drive.
I currently have Andy's exhaust MOD and like it so much I want MORE. I'm thinking about the Corsa Indy's. Can anyone compare these two systems in words since I can't do a side by side listening test?

Nate, I have 2 questions : 1) How would this system compare to a Corsa Touring system in sound, quality and resonance ? I hate a loud exhaust

From what Jim hall has said, this is the baddddddest sounding C5 exhaust out there, BUT, it is LOUD (I am assuming at WOT like the B&B PRT's are at WOT, but not bad at idle or cruise) he also referenced "ticket magnet" (again assuming under WOT only I hope). Jim also mentioned an "attenuated" option that was supposed to be 3db quieter. I guess I will call Borla to get the low down on this as no other vendor I spoke with knew about this option (maybe Hall was getting a different Borla muffler for this option).
The system looks sweet as you can see the Borla logo stamped on the mufflers from the rear of the car. This is not the X1-R muffler which I believe would be even louder. Anyone heard the SLP loudmouth in person and this system yet to comment?? :confused:
