Just bought 03 Z06, drove it home 2300 miles window worked fine, now it doesn't want to go down, can hear click, sounds like relay in door but no movement. Before I start digging thought I would see if this has happened to someone else. Find passenger door lock has to be flicked several times before it works also. Thanks in advance.

I am having the same problem and have not figured it out yet. My trunk release button is also not working. I think that one is perhaps a relay though.

The door lock I figure is just sticky I think but with the window it did work good and strong so I am wondering if is bad ground or connection, fuses seem to be ok, does yours click as well??
Usually the motors get some contamination on the commutator winding so the brushes don't make contact. This happens to do little or no use of the window. Gently rapping on the top of the window, downward and sometimes this will make it go again. Other times, you'll need to access the motor itself and insure the mechanism isn't binding up. Might also be the relay contacts in the door control module.

I think the percentages favor the relay not making good contact. Do you hear a click when you try the window?? If not it's the relay, if you do hear it... follow dg's initial advice.
I do hear relay, but like you say it may not be making contact. It is a little funny that it worked flawless every time and then nothing. Read old post which suggested holding down button while closing door, but this did not help. I have tried tapping door while holding button which did not work either. Is motor and relay easy to get at if I pop door cover off?
Normally you can swap out the door control modules to verify if that is the cause, which in case, its probably the relays. I understand the relays are easy to replace but I've never done one.
I have the same problem with my passenger window. I'm 99% sure it's the relays, you here them click but the window doesn't move. I've already replaced the door lock relays for the same problem. The relay contacts just get corroded over time and quit working. If your going to do the repair yourself just save yourself some time and replace all of the relays in the control module. Then you won't have to do it twice like me

Almost.
I got mine to work again by:
1. Open door.
2. Turn on key.
3. Hold the "DOWN" button on the window.
4. With the side of my fist, I started to "rap" the inside of the door (in the area of the regulator).
5. I "moderately" hit the door 5 - 6 times with no luck. Then in frustration I gave it a "HARD rap"and BINGO!!!! The window has worked fine for three years now.

We own a paint and body shop in Houston, that specializes in Corvettes, this is a common problem with the C-5 Corvette. The reason the passenger gets stuck is from lack of use, I have customers call and it's always the passenger window. Everyone make sure that when you go thru the drive thru window at the bank or fast food restaurant, put the passeneger window down too. This also applies to all vehicles. When the window problem gets fixed just remember to use it as often as the drivers window.

Sometimes ya just got to go "Fonzi" on it.
Well I'll be a monkeys uncle, I banged on the inside of the door over top of were the control box nothing, did it again nothing, went "Fonzi" on it and holly @#$% it works!!
Thanks guys, I was disappointed when I just got car and this happens. I even ordered Shop manuals today thinking I better get them. Still cheaper than replacing door control module thought. To the other guys that posted same problem, try this. First look at post that shows were control is so you hit right spot, then give it a good whack!

I'm glad you got it working.
I personally believe that with low use the window regulator will develop a "dead spot" possibly due to dust/rust collecting on the motor commutator. This is just my SWAG (scientific wild-azz guess).
FYI, You will be very glad you bought those manuals. Not because the car breaks a lot, but because it is a tremdous reference for any questions you might have or things you will want to do to your car in the future.

I think that since the window regulator does not have a limit switch, the motor just runs up against the stops until it stalls, and the motor and drive gears get in a bind.
I have had almost new regulators stick.
I have been bumping my window glass down a fraction of an inch to unload the motor, and have not had a window stick since.
You can hit the down and up buttons quickly enough that the glass only drops about 1/16th inch, so it still seals in the weatherstip fine.
I had the same problem today, luckily I researched the problem here in the forum before troubleshooting on my own. Before I checked the fuses, banged on the door panel, take the door panel off, check relays, swap modules or bang on the motor I merely held down the window button and slammed the passenger door and problem was fixed. Thank Goodness for all you guys in this forum!
