I've had my 01 on blocks and stored since Dec 1. Battery tender has been on it the whole time. On Monday I took it off the blocks, removed the tender and fired er up. I let it warm up for a good 10 minutes and then took it for a couple of mile blast. Brought it home and put it away, but did'nt hook up the BT.
I go to start it 2 days later (today) and the battery is dead, click-click-click!
What do you think, could the battery be defective? Had no problems beforehand. And no, I did'nt leave anything on and the car has only 10K on it.
Yup, it's stock (01-10K). Have'nt checked the alternator as I have no electrical testing equipment at home, but I will when the car gets back on the road...which hopefully is next month :)
Could the stock battery die after this short a period?
Mine would die all the time. Haven't heard of to many Alternator problems.
Something my have been left on? Once my 5 point harness cam lock, if not put on the seat would set right on the passenger seat buttons and would drain the battery in 15 minutes or less. That was my fault. But once the battery was drained it was never the same. Even if I drove it for a couple of hours it would die in a couple of days.
