Default Telescopic steering help needed

Did a search and found nothing, so here I am. It stopped moving into positions of memory and I've tried the col. button/**** and I've ran a codes test. No NEW codes, just 2 history codes.

B2860H which is a sensor failure code for it and U1160H.

Where is this sensor located? It shows as an H (history) but you never know.

I've checked the manual and can't find a fuse location for it. Is there a fuse and if so, where is it located?

It's a 2001 A4 Coupe. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks for any and all help.

I can't tell if you tried the following...

Turn key to "on position" without starting the car.
Push the column button in 6 times and then hold it in for a few seconds.
Then push the column button backwards 6 times.
Believe it or not this works. The "soft stops" may need to be reset.
I was a non believer and I had tried this in the past and didnt get it to work. Then today when I was leaving a client visit I said whet the hell and tried it again...and low and behold...it worked.
Telsecope is back in action. I drove the car for a whole year with it semi retracted. Now its fixed.
Sorry to all those that I doubted in the past!

Try the above fix , maybe its not the relay. Good luck!

Now that you say that, I do remember hearing that before.

I had just forgotten about it. I'll go give it a try. Thanks.

Update: Yup, that fixed it all. What a relief, that I don't have to go see the Stealership with it.

Thank you Johnny. I really love this place and the sharing of information and ideas. Thanks again.
