I was in heavy traffic today and finally decided to do something about the skip shift. Anyone have any problems after they installed the eliminator. Also, I see there are several brands on the market. Any feedback on which ones are the most reliable would be appreciated. This is for a 2000 FRC.

Prior to installing the CAGS eliminator in my '01, I was petrified to drive in traffic. I've been driving "sticks" since '70, and I'm used to selecting the gear that I deem necessary based on the traffic I see through the windshield. I almost got rear-ended a couple of times when lightly accelerating in traffic, and my forward progress momentarily slowed, when I went for 2nd, and the damned computer wouldn't let me....and I had to fumble for 4th!
The "eliminator" went in VERY shortly thereafter....
I've tried two. Bought both on e-bay. The first was a single module unit that fit with the pleg-end on the wiring loom going to the transmission. Unfortunately, the other end didn't fit the transmission. Bought a second (visibly different -- has two "plugs" connected through what looks like wiring inside a plastic looming cover) and this one worked fine. I neither recommend nor dis e-bay. But, I strongly recommend getting the unit that plugs to the transmission as well as the loom. It'll help keep everything clean, and for that matter dry if you get near water. This will help prevent corrosion and better facilitate reconnection for you or a future owner, if ever desired.
Take out you PCM and send it to ECS. They'll get rid of the skip shift, the light, and do some other good stuff too. Very good 150 -200 dollar investment IMO.
The Z06 I just bought has a skip shift installed I'm going to pull it off because I have HP Tuners. If you ever decide you want it let me know. I'll try to get the time to get under my car.

Thank you VERY much for your kind offer. However, I just bought the one recommended by 37pat. Perhaps someone else reading this thread can use the one you are removing.
