What is the right cam?
Guys, I do have a 2001 C5 Coupe, 4-Speed Auto Transmission
I am looking to install a new performance camshaft. I am looking for the following with an expert recommendations
:
1. Extreme power
2. Wild sound
3. Running idle rpm not more than 850 rpm
I got installed the following in my vette:
ARH 1 7/8 long tube headers with 3"X3" X-Pipe (off-road)
B&B Cat back 4" quad tips
Vararam intake
Bosch 42 lb Fuel injectors
Custom tune (HP Tuner)
I don't want to do any fly cut, and I am considering AFR heads later on (No enough budget
)
So, any recommended package, or cam, or even any custom cam that would meet my expectations. I have seen some vette's having a custom cam having an LSA of 117 and high lift up to 0.610/0.600 and gained about 70 RWHP
I know there are a lot to gain from your experiences guys, just guide me. The cam choice is the pending issue that hold the completion of my project

I have a MS3 in mine its a 237/242 with a .609 lift it has everything you asked for but it idles around 900-1000rpms, and has a very mean lope to it.

same question here
Lucky for me, my 04, A4, came w/AFR 205's on it. Haven't checked to see what springs might be on them but at the most they will handle an MS3 with the standard springs from AFR. I don't want that much chop at idle. Also has Vararam, 01 Z06 MAF, and 3.73's.
