I have Baer Eradispeed non-drilled/slotted rotors on the front, dimpled on the rear (not sure of the manufacturer). Time for pads, which should I go with and why?
not sure if this is helpful, but I just installed Hawk Ceramic all around on my wife's 04 Tahoe. Had the rotors cut as well. Break in as directed from Hawk.Very disappointed with the results: truck has 70K on it, with the original GM pads. Wife asked me aren't you going to do the brakes on my truck? Answer was I already did them-and she didn't notice.
The initial bite of these pads suck-kind of a numb feeling--when warm, they will however, stop this truck in a (relative) heartbeat-I can feel/hear the anti-lock kicking in front and rear.
I guess it depends on what you are looking for-if I had to do it over again I'd use the GM pads for sure
