Default Clutch fluid leak--

My clutch had been sticking to floor the past couple times I drove it. I could pump it a couple times and it would come back. Anyway, I backed it out of garage earlier, and when I turned it off clutch went to floor. I had to pump it probably 15 times to get it back. I pulled it back in garage and noticed what I think is clutch fluid in driveway and underside of engine is "oily". I just read on Rangers cleaning method, and fluid appears low and is filthy. Car is 03 with about 15000 miles.......pretty much babied. What do you guys think??

where is the slave located? The leak seems to be coming from under where reservoir is, but I cant see leak.

The slave cylinder is inside the clutch housing.
The master cylinder is connected to the top of the clutch pedal. Sounds like the master cylinder or a hydraulic line is leaking.

the leak is almost dead under the reservoir by front tire.......did yours leak there also? I was kinda hoping it was not that with the leak being up front.

MC is blown. They die. It happens. It's also possible the reservoir cup is cracked and be aware that sometimes replacement MCs do not come with new ones. I kind of doubt that's what you have leaking here though based on this ...

Car is 03 with about 15000 miles
Turning a car into a garage queen is one of the worst things you can do to those hydraulic seals.

The only time I see leaks at lines is when they're either 30 years old and rotted through, or bubba screwed up the install. Since your car is an '03 with apparently the original clutch MC, I think we probably can rule out both of those.

Check the rubber hose from the bottom of the reservoir to the master cylinder-it's a slip fit with no clamps on either end, maybe one end has come partway off,or the hose is split on one end, which would also allow air to be sucked into the hydraulic system, hence the pedal problems.

If it were the slave, the fluid would be dripping dead center under the car, abut 5 inches behind the oil filter,so you've got something amiss in the master cylinder area.

There is also a tiny "o" ring on the end of the pressure line where it attaches to the master, but that fitting is held in with a roll pin, which is safety wired in(at least it is on my 98),not really a good candidate for leakage.
