Default disconnected battery

I read on here that if your battery has been disconnected for awhile you may need to do an idle re-learn process. My question is if you don't have an OEM tune and have a Diablo Predator Tune is this still necessary?

I don't find it necessary even with a stock tune. I put my battery back in every spring coming out of storage and have had no problems.

The only things that you lose with disconnecting the battery is all the weather related tuning parameters that have been learned out--The ECM basically starts from sqaure 1 and goes thru a re-learn process--It should only take about 50 mile or so for them to learn out again-Weather related things are like atmospheric pressure--altitude-outside temp or air density ---The other times it will idle badly or hunt for an idle speed is if your T-body had learned out when it was clean and now it is carboned up some and you re-set the fuel trims or did an idle relearn or disconnected the battery after it has become carboned up and originally it had learned out when it was clean--
