Default Modding my A4

Picking up a vette for my DD fun car. It's a 01 60K on the dash and is a A4. The goal for the car is to have a good solid low 11 street car. The car currently has a Magnaflow exhaust on it from the existing owner. Can people give me a list of what some good's mods are going to be to reach me to my goal. I'm coming from a turbo 4 cylinder and the cam talk and stuff like that is new to me.

Thought's were, Intake-Headers-Exhaust-Cam-Nitrous, but as far as what duration on the cam and best nitrous setup, iam lost. I also would need help knowing what I need for the transmission as far as a tq converter, stall, and what gears.

Any help is deeply appreciated, take it easy on me too im a honder owner!

F/I or a H/C package w/gears and a converter. You can do nitrous if you want, but I think you will need at least a 150shot to do it. You will need traction so drag tires will be necessary if you want to walk the walk.

The A4 will probably need to be upgraded so you should budget for that too. It may last a while, but in the end it will probably go. Gears will be at least 3.42, converter would be in the 3600rpm range. Talk to a forum tuner if you want more details.

My A4 coupe runs consistent 11.7s.
Has 3.42s, 3,200 stall, 275/45/17 drag radials (smaller than stock diameter for even more gearing), Magnesium wheels, LS2 crate motor with Cam, long tubes, hi flo cats, Corsa exhaust, Vararam and SFI damper.

You want to go a half second faster and will need more than that. About 50 hp or more. Oh and a cage depending on the track rules for running that fast and the extra hp to offset the weight.

Start with things that will break first. Trans upgrade along with a good converter. Hardened long shaft in the differential along with 3:42 or 3:73 gear. Good drag radial or M/T street ET. Headers, AFR heads or better ( consider at least 11.0-1 compression). 224-228/600 lift cam along with new lifters, push rods, aftermarket rockers, and chain upgrade. Vararam cold air intake or equal. Throw in a tune and you have it.
