Default very small jack available to keep on board

If a non run flat loses all air and is setting on the bead and will not seal, is there a very small jack available to carry on board to raise the car high enough to get the wheel off the bead! :smash: :seeya

I seem to recall some forum members using Honda Civic jacks although I haven't ever seen one.

This is a good Idea. I hope it works when the time comes... when I had a flat tire on my non run flat both beads were off the rim by about 1.5 inches. There was no way I was going to even get a jack under the lowered car. I will tell you that the rim was suspended in the air and didnt even touch the ground though. I was happy about that. There was no damage to the tire... just took it to a tire shop on a flat bed and they took off the rim and (had a Heck of a time reseating the bead) ballanced it, then reinstalled the T&W.

4 hours later I made it home. :(

Wonder what it would take to put the 4 hydrolic lifts like they have on the f1 cars.. It would add some weight, but it sure would make oil changes easy...

If you are running non run flats, can tell you this is a real problemo...by experience. With that tire flat on the ground, there is no way to get a even a floor jack under there. So doesn't matter how many flat fixer kits you have. Can tell you that a Lexus jack fits :D ... but sure siccisor Honda jack would be better price wise. :yesnod:

I remember seeing an inflatable bladder type jack on a web site a couple of years ago. As near as I can remember it was pretty thin in the collapsed state. I wasn't very impressed with what I saw on the web. The scissor jack sounds the best too me.....but would like to know the amount of clearance required when non run flat is totally flat.

Good luck.
