tranny shifts better when cold!
My stone-cold 2000 tranny (stock shifter) with cheap Pennzoil Dexron III shifted sweeter than it ever did before. Really solid click-click, and smoother engagement with less effort.
Awhile back I changed the fluid, using the cheap Dex III, and cleaned/lubed the shifter. It really improved then, but this first cold snap in Dallas really made it a dream. I figured the cold would do the opposite to the fluid, and make it stiffer - go figure. As soon as the car warmed up, the shifting felt "normal" again.
Just an observation,
DG
