For those of you that have installed the ATI P-1SC or had a tuner install it, was it necessarry to have the car dyno tuned, or was the SuperChips "reprogrammer" enough to get the car to run correctly? I'm just wondering if after I get the kit completely installed and the ECU reprogrammed if I still need to take the car to have it dyno tuned.
Thanks!

Re: Tuning C5 After ATI Installation (R6_C5_ML430)
Hi,
How Ernie at BPP did all tuning in detail is unknow to me, but I know he started at 465 RWHP and we ended up with 490 RWHP.
He replaced stuff like the Powerduct, etc.
So yes...I would defantly do some Dyno tuning after the work.
I am going to do the install myself. I have done a fair amount of work on cars before and I am a mechanical engineer, so I think I might be able to handle it. Two other guys I work with (also car nuts and mechanical engineers) are going to help me. I need to take it somewhere to have the crank keyed and possibly have it dyno tuned afterwards.

If you are doing the install then keying crank is not that hard. Did install and keying myself on 02 Z06
Please post or email me instructions or the procedure you used to key the crank. Also include any special tools (or drill bit) you needed and what you used as the "keys" if you don't mind.
Thanks!

Re: Tuning C5 After ATI Installation (R6_C5_ML430)
Dyno tuning would be a wise option. Find a shop with good scan tools and and on-dyno tuning capability. Putting a SC on a car and not doing extensive dyno tuning is looking to invest in a new motor.

Are you a computer engineer, too ? You know what they say ... ya can't fix a computer with a 12mm wrench :D :D
