Well, I was driving on the highway a few days ago, and at 75mph, my car all of the sudden jerked to the left like someone applied the brakes on the left side of the car! It almost jerked the stearing wheel out of my hands, but it straightened back out almost immediately. Needless to say it scared the crap out of me. I didn't notice anything wrong, but I wasn't really looking at that moment either. After a few miles it did it again, except to a much lesser extent, but I was prepared this time. The DIC said "Active Handling" when it did it. Happened two more times, and I shut off the active handling, and it didn't do it again.
So, What in the world is going on?!? Do I need to service the active handling? If so, how do I do that? I pretty much do my own work, so I'd rather not just "take it to the dealer".
Any help appreciated, it's never done this before, and I want to get it fixed.
I'll do that today, it's not my primary driver so I've just had it parked in the garage. I've been doing some searching, and I guess this may be similar to what others have experienced. I'm just searching for fixes at this point, but I'll get some codes.
