Default 2003 Z06 engine components

I have the opportunity to obtain a blown 2003 Z06 engine for practically nothing. The bottom end of the engine was destroyed (crank, rods, pistons, and block) but heads, cam, intake, throttle body, MAF all look to be fine.

Question is, what HP gains should I expect if I transfer the above to my stock 2000 LS1, plus I would rebuild the heads valve train, and have the heads ported, add LG Pro 1 3/4 LT headers with cats. I already have a Vararam CAI and Ti exhaust on the LS1. Thought about having the 2003 throttle body ported as well but dont know if that would add significantly to the output.

Also, assume a Dyno tune as well.

Let me know what you think. Trying to decide before I buy the 2003 engine.

Thanks.

If you are going to port the heads, I wouldn't use the stock 03 Z06 cam. To fully reach the potential of the ported 243 heads, you should at least upgrade the cam (stock cam is like 208/218 or something). If you went with a mild (221/221 .559/.559 114) cam, you are looking to put down about 400/400 at the wheels with your headers and a tune.

I had a stage I 241 heads and that cam and put down 392/374 at the wheels with 1 3/4 headers and a tune.

Good luck!
