Lexol for the leather. Cleaning, using their liquid cleaner, on a fairly regular basis is important. Dirt and body oils can be detrimental to long term leather health just as heat and UV. In the liquid form, Lexol leather protectant and cleaner goes a long way as it doesn't take a lot. Adopt some sort of regular schedule for using it and don't wait until you see cracking. By then it's too late.
Get a decent windshield sunshade and get your windows tinted too. These last two suggestions are standard fare for Houston, especially if you have a red interior. Red or blue interiors tend to be the most prone to UV damage of all the colors, and black the least prone.

I tried a bunch of different stuff, but I'm stuck on Zaino Brothers Z-10 Leather in a bottle. It does a great job, and my seats look like new. I also get a lot of comments on how I get my seats to smell so new !
When I bought my 99 about 5 weeks ago, I thought for sure new leather was on the short term "to do" list. I have the base black seats.
But after hitting it regularly with Lexol every few days I'm bringing it back to life. It's a bit oily so let it soak and dry, or wipe it off if you need to drive right away. But that oil is what gets it moisturized again.
With that said, I've been really pleased with Zaino's tire product that I'm probably going to give their leather conditioner a try.

As far as Lexol, various stores will probably carry it. Leather goods stores or some retail department stores may carry it. I get mine from a local Houston Shoe Hospital store near where I live. Houston Trunk Factory may also carry it. Not sure.
The leather repair guy was recently at my daughter's house doing some work and when asked that quetsion, he said all they use is a good quality un - cented skin moisturizer/hand lotion! I checked with a few other people and they recommended the same thing... after using various leather conditioners over the years on the vette and Caddy etc, I tried the skin lotion and the results where great - longer lasting and more supple, lower price too!

Another vote for Lexol. Clean with the orange bottle and follow with the conditioner in the brown bottle. I have found this at some of the more popular auto parts stores like Autozone and Pep Boys. This will keep the leather in your car looking good for years to come.

My wife and I have driven cars with leather interiors for over 15 years and I've used every leather conditioner/cleaner product out there. Lexol and Maguires Leather conditioner are my prefered off the shelf brands, however, zaino is my all out favorite. The leather smell is incredible and this is a superior product.. I wish the stores sold it, but the mail order is really fast. I get my zaino products in 2 days.. I can guarantee you won't ever use any other leather product after using the zaino
I purchased a set of leather seats from Al KNoch for my C3 and they said to get the seats warm (interior warmed from the sun) and use Lemon Pledge and rub that in. I have not tried it yet so I can not tell you if it actually works or not.

Toque
It keeps the seats from drying out plus as Toque stated it smells great - like leather. I'm on my second bottle. Not cheap but worth it.
I recently bought Zaino Z10 Leather in a Bottle, and it is fantastic stuff! It doesn't take much, softens and conditions, and it has that great leather smell!
