Default Fuel filter mounting stud

Guys I need some help on this one. When removing the nut off the fuel filter mounting stud it snapped off. :cry . I'ts tight in there so I dont think I can get a right angle drill in there to drill and re tap it. Any creative suggestions?
Would I be Ok without it? The fuel lines seems to keep it pretty solid. I need some body to chime in so I can quit worrying about it. :( . Thanks

The fuel lines should hold it in place pretty well, but I am not sure I would leave it like that for too long. Chances are, the fuel filter will start rattling.
By the sounds of it, you have an auto. If so, you are going to have a doosie of a time getting the stud removed. With the right tools, it should not be impossible though.
Good Luck,
