Tires for Z06 Wheels?

I Just purchased the wheels with tires about a week ago and am having traction problems!!! I have 325/35/18 Michelin MVXX's? and they just dont want to hook up. I am considering the Hoosier race tires but would like some feedback or other suggestions. Its not a daily driver car so tire wear isn't a big concern. Thanks for your help :cheers:

I have G-Force KD's and think they are pretty sticky. These are probably the closest thing to a track tire for the street.
