First impressions: it's excellent. The throws are very short and precise. Snick, snick, snick . . . going into gear. Light years ahead of the stocker. Very firm. I'm assuming it's going to loosen up a bit with use but I realize that, with only 1600 miles on the car, the tranny isn't really broken in either. I went with the factory springs Hurst put in - the stops needed no adjustment.
That is one of the best set of instructions and pictures I have seen. I could have used that when I gave up waiting for the Hurst and installed the ripper instead last year, which I have had no problem with and really like. I'm sure the Hurst is good just took too long to get out.
:yesnod: Great how to. I can use this when my shifter arrives. Before summer I hope. After the photo of the shifters side by side I got red x's.
Anyone else have this problem? :chevy
Like a few others here, mine is in and I am loving it (more so than the B&M it replaces). Also await a short boot from Ken. Well worth the wait guys...keep smiling.

I've had my Hurst for over a month and yes it does loosen up. It was a little tight at first.
