It is probably a relay in the left door module inside the door. Mine would not lock until I replaced the relay. I tried cutting off part of the relay case and cleaning the points - it worked for a while but then became erratic again. There is a post somewhere on this repair. Try post 24 in the Ultimated DIY sticky.

Have your battery checked.
Had the same problem. Had the battery checked and it had 370 cranking amps rather than 750. Meter said it was bad. Replaced it and problem went away.
