Default Stupid question about car cover

I have a stupid question about what you guys do when covering your car. I received a Coverbond 5 Car Cover for my 01 z and I am getting ready to put it on and noticed there is not a hole for the fixed antenna. Do you guys cut a small hole or to you unscrew your antenna?

I don't own a Z but if it was me I would unscrew the antenna if the cover is staying on for a long time. I would be afraid that if I cut a hole, I would miss the hole when putting the cover on and break the antenna.

I leave the cover in tact and I remove my antenna each time I cover my car.

I even put a rubber cap over antenna post. My car stays covered a week at a time and the antenna post wore through my first cover.

Good Luck....

I have a Z w/ cover. I remove the antena & put a soft rubber vacume boot over the treaded antena mount.

Your car must be clean before installing the cover, especially when outdoors. The wind will play havoc with the cover & screw up your paint.

If your Vette is dirty, don't put on the cover.

Default Car cover question

Every car cover I've ever bought has included a thick cloth reinforcement patch (2-3 inches round or square, small hole in the middle) with heat-activated adhesive on one side. You first determine where the hole has to go by mounting the cover with the antenna removed and marking the spot, then cutting a small hole there and ironing on the reinforcing patch over the hole. If your cover did not come with such a patch the manufacturer/seller should be able to supply you with one.
