Im stuck between a supercharger like esc or a&a OR a fully built ls3 416

the car will do some drag racing and be on the track too. i will also be driving it, thanks so for everything in advance

SuperCharger all the way!

Makes its own Cubes and you still retain great fuel economy - and if you should ever go bigger cubes it'll bolt right-up

Seriously - SuperCharger is a great safe and easy way to make excellent HP and TQ and retain extrtemely good drivability - I would go with a Centrifugal SuperCharger!

I am making 701 RWHP on my LS1 347 CID motor - safely

Thanks,Matt

If you do many HPDE's you may want to stay N/A. A lot of heat is generated with F/I and 20+ min sessions on a road track will be very hard on an F/I motor.

You need to figure out what kind of person you are. Some are FI and some are NA. If gross power is your end - forged 346 and lots of boost will get you there. If you intend to spent time on a road course - go NA
.
I prefer the challenge and simplicity of making very good overall power NA. That being said, I am now upgrading my LS2 403 stroker to a Darton sleeved 427 - still NA. We're expecting 550+/500+ with great drivability.

If you are going to do HPDEs, I suggest you spend some time over in the road racing section. The stock C5Z06 is a pretty impressive car. You will learn that the last thing you do is to add power.

First thing is to learn how to drive, which means seat time. Should also make car safe and reliable. Then you can start making improvements to go faster.

More power only helps one aspect of performance and that is acceleration. Just remember you have to slow down and turn also!

This is a good observation. Save a grand or so on a nice LS2 stroker, and keep the compression below 10:1, and down the road slap a centri unit, and get massive power. You know you're gonna keep modding, right?

^^Try posting your question over in the road racing section. They have been testing out dry sumps for LS3s for T1 vettes. Saw a couple of posts on the subject over there.
