Default New LS6 engine swap

I recently purchased a new LS6 complete engine from a dealer in texas to replace the engine in my stock , 03 auto coupe. I had a coupla questions for members out there. Are the injectors for this engine and the stock LS 1 in my car the same? Also, could I benefit from a camshaft swap at this time? I"m planning on installing a 3:42 gear also with a small convertor,a "fast" intake and CAI also. I want a good idle quality and excellent low end grunt. All opinions and suggestions are welcomed. Thanks to everybody!!!!! KH400

Good luck with your build.

I would probably not go with a fast intake, as they are typically used for high rpm/high hp gains - not low end torque you are looking for.

Talk to some oof the vendors on here about your goals for the car. We all like different camshafts and have different opinions about "drivability" Are you installing headers too? That could impact your cam choice as well. If you're just llooking for a little bump in power and fun factor, find something like the TR224. It seems to be a popular cam in the "driver" cars.

If the car see mostly the street and very rarely goes to the track, go with a 2800 stall converter.

The 3.42 will wake the car up a lot too. Especially if you're coming from the 2.73 gear.
