Default Center force Clutch , not normal. HELP!!!

I bought a 01 C It had a CF clutch installed when the previous owner had it ,seems to way out of adjustment as soon as you let he clutch out it grabs. The previous owner assured me that thats the way it was as soon as was installed . Is there any adjust men on the slave or is this the way it is .

Only way to "adjust it" is if you have an adjustable master cylinder. I have the same clutch and it is more on/off than stock

well I use the Tick adjustable one so I can have the clutch engage where I want. If it is engaging and disengaging correctly I wouldn't worry about it too much

I'm not sure what you mean by "as soon as you are letting out the clutch." Do you mean the clutch starts engaging at the bottom of the pedal range. I installed my clutch with and adjustable clutch cylinder so I can put it where I want. However, that is not the main reason I did that. A lot of guys were complaining about not being able to disengage the clutch at high rpm. The solution was an after market clutch cylinder that happend to be adjustable. My only gripe is to get the cylinder bleed right I have have to back the pedal all the way out and max the pedal stroke.

Yes the clutch engages as soon you release pressure from the peddle

That doesn't sound right to me, but I can't think of anything that would cause that. It sounds like distance between the clutch and flywheel got bigger. I would think it would get smaller if stock flywheel was resurfaced. I also installed a new flywheel when I put my dual friction in.

I would pull the whole assembly out and take a look at just in case somthing was installed wrong, maybe the wrong slave cylinder.

Mines close to the bottom, but definitely not as low as yours sounds.

I had second thoughts about changing my slave cylinder out until I pulled the whole assembly out and looked at it. It wraps around the output shaft and the only way to get it out is when you have the whole drive line pulled out.

Yep...I recently purchased an '01 Z06 that has a CF clutch installed. It feels similar to another CF'd Z06 that I test drove...clutch is really low and engages right off the floor, except the one I bought does the 'drag' when I do the test of standing still and reving and keeping the clutch depressed. This was noticed because the tranny doesn't want to shift at high rpms. Seems to be a common thing with these Centerforce clutches.

I'm on the fence with either swapping out the 'very stiff' CF clutch which won't properly work to an LS7 combo or just trying the TICK adjustable master. One is at least $1K cheaper than the other...

This sucks.
