Z06 exhaust system question ...
Guys,
question is there a difference between the c5 z06 exhaust and the standard c5 coupe ? Is the z06 exhaust an x-pipe or h-pipe ? Or are they the same ?

Only the muffler section is different, titanium and louder. The center section is the same. If you buy headers most brands also replace the entire center section up to the mufflers.

The midpipes both use an H-pipe, and are interchangeable between Z06and LS1 from '00 to '04. However, the LS1 midpipe uses two small additional catalytic converters up near the exhaust manifold, and thus has more back pressure and horsepower loss than the Z06.
'98-'99 midpipes are not interchangeable with the later ones.
