Default Passenger Window Leaking Air

Is there a window adjustment that will allow the passenger window to raise 1/8th of an inch higher before stopping? I have adjusted the tip in, but the solution is for the window to continue its travel an addition 1/8 inch before it stops. It is not seating in the lip in the weatherstrip. Any ideas?? Thanks for any help you can give me.

remove the door panel, the speaker assembly and the insulation, lower the window about half way an you will see where it can be adjusted, I believe its a 13mm nut, its located where the regulator attached to the window.
it has about 1/2" of adjustment, good luck

Thanks for the response FourG63 97GST. I will try this fix. Have you actually performed this fix and did it get the desired results?

If you lower the glass so the clamps holding the glass in the regulator are near the bottom of the door, you may be able to adjust the stops on the regulator through the access plugs in the bottom of the door. There is one at the front and one at the rear. Just remove the rubber plugs. The adjuster screws are actually internal torx heads, but a 6 point socket should work.

You can see the adjustment screws on the window regulator brackets (with the gray plastic tips) in picture #2 in this post. If you lower the stops, the glass should go farther up before the motor stops.

If there is not enough adjustment in the screws, the glass mounting brackets are slotted where you can loosen the bolts and slide the glass up, then retighten the clamp bolts. Slide the whole bracket, not just the glass.

Pretty much, I replaced my window regulator recently an had to adjust the height, so it seated properly against the weatherseal.

I found I had a little time Saturday so I launched into the window project. I could not make the necessary adjustment throught the bottom of the door, so I took off the door interior panel. I raised the window about half way up and found the adjusting screws. I turned them about four complete turns and took the car for a ride before I reinstalled the panel. Wind noise completely gone.I stalled the panel, project completed.
FourG63 97GST and Texhawko thanks for all the help. It was a relatively easy repair once I understood what to do.
