I am getting heads/cam done at ARE soon and was going to go with the street eliminator heads(stock valves), but for $700 more I can get the stage 1 heads(2.02/1.06 valves if I remember correctly) Should I go for it? What kind of gains would one think I would see between the two? Whats typical for hp gains with stage 1 heads/hammer cam in a a4. and yes I am doing the ls6 intake and ud pully. Already have the bolt ons.
JMHO, your doing it for increased performance... right? Don't **** your money away and just go for the Stage II heads & cam and be done with it. If you can't swing the costs now, save your quarters for you would be happier in the long run...

Re: Heads question (abraham)
I agree. If you are the kind of driver who is doing h/c to begin with that means you are a bit of a power addict like the rest of us.
SAVE YOUR MONEY and just do this once: get the Stage 2 heads and cam. I promise you, you will not regret it. I am so grateful that my local shop - MMS - persuaded me to just do this once - probably saved me thousand so dollars doing it right the first time.
