I don't know about the headers. How do you like driving a corvette in Bahrain. I was in Bahrain, Oman and Abu Dhabi in 1993. I bet you get to drive really fast there. Good luck with your search.
I believe the Mallet headers are TPIS header. I had Chuck install them on my car when I purchased a set of 3.73's a year & a half ago. They were coated and as far as I can tell have not cracked. I know there were problems on older TPIS's but I haven't experienced any yet.
Gosh, I hope they are better than the TPIS.. I had lots of issues with my TPIS when they were new a year ago. Problems with install too.
Now, one year later, the air tubes on both sides are completely cracked away from the header (car is down waiting for new headers), the brackets are cracked, and the collector on one side is cracked open....
TPIS offered to fix them though.. and to recoat. So, I'm waiting....
Anyway, Mallet headers are TPIS. I have TPIS in my car & they are ok so far.
Both Belanger & TTS are good headers. For a stock engine or a slightly modified one I prefer the TTS. For an engine with some real modifications, Belanger would get my vote. Expect 15 rwhp increase from either header.
What kinds of problems with install
The air tubes cracked? Is sthis common or just a bad set?
