I bought my car to jiffy lube a few days ago to have the ATF changed. The tranny started to slip after words. So I bought it back today around 4pm.
3/4 the way there the tranny wont go from 2nd to 3rd gear or to 4th.
I got the car to jiffy lube and he said lets take a look at it and I asked if i can watch. So he opened the fill plug and nothing came out. So he put in 2 squirts from his pump and it filled it up.
We tried it out and it still did the same thing. So than the check engine light came on and it said shift solenoid B stuck off on there computer.
Sounds like it's toast. Looking back at your original post, flushing an auto tranny with that many miles on it usually equals death. Perhaps the experts will chime in and explain why.

The engine has to be running and oil temp has to be above 80 degrees. Fill until it flows out. If they didn't properly service and fill the tranny then you probably burned it up. Get them to pay for a new RPM A4 and the install!

Might be too late! Another case of a shop that does not have a clue. On the Corvette, to check the fluid level you need to:
Raise the car, or put on jack stands. Car must be level. Start the engine and allow the engine to idle until the tranny fluid temp has reached 86 to 122 degrees F. depress the brake pedal and move the shift lever through the gears pausing a few seconds in each gear. Return the shifter to the Park position. With the shifter in Park and with the engine idling, remove the tranny plug and you should get a a pretty good dribble of fluid. The tranny fluid will be hot so be careful.
This is necessary as the tranny cooler in the radiator is higher than the tranny. To ensure the fluid level is correct the pump in the tranny must be circulating fluid through the cooler and back to the pan. If you pull the plug with the engine off and cold you will find the fluid will come gushing out as the fluid level will be well above the plug as with the engine off the fluid tends to run back to the pan.
Good luck!
If they flushed the system and did not follow then procedeure, you were running way low, the pump would pump all the fluid to the cooler and poof goes the tranny.
All good advice! Many times on an high mileage poorly maintained auto trans, when you flush or change the fluid, the new fluids detergents and slicker quality will clean off old varnish and build up and cause many problems.Even failure!
replace shift solonoid B in the valve body and then drive it! Sometimes they get sticky or lazy when you do **** like change out your atf.....Your trans may not be cooked yet......the computer already told you there was a problem within the valve body so id start there.......
No not yet. The tranny was 4 quarts short total which means since I gave him 12 quarts and it takes 10.8 to fill it and he said he used all of it. Where did those remaining 5.2 quarts go?
My car is in the chevy dealer ship right now jiffy lube said they will pay for it if the inspector says its there fault. Chevy says it is but jiffy lube has there own inspector so we will see what happens. The new tranny is going to be a 3 year 100,000mile warranty and it is gonna cost 3100$ for the tranny its self.

Not true sir. 10.8 quarts is overhaul capacity, not drain and fill.
