NX Remote Bottle Opener Problems...
Has anyone had any problems with the NX bottle opener not having enough torque to open the bottle? It justs makes a humming noise but it does not open the bottle. Everything is hooked up properly, I even got it to work once or twice. I know the unit is not defective b/c I have two bottle openers and neither one works 90% of the time. Help please!

It could be defective. Are you using this on an NX bottle? If not, you may have to adjust the clutch in it to get it to work on other bottles or grind down some material to get it to seat properly. Are all your electrical connections good?

I have the same problem!
I can open it with a wrench with very little effort. It will not close all the way either. I'm waiting for a new one! Vendor says any day now!
Going on 3 weeks!

I ran into the same problem as you, even though I have the NX nitrous bottle.
All you have to do is tighten the clutch a little and it should work like a charm. Remove the 4 hex-screws and take off the plastic cover. And then tighten the nut on the clutch.
That should do it :D Shoot me an email if you have any question.

Thanks for the help guys. Yes I do have 3 NX bottles and 2 bottle openers. I somehow do not think that all of them can be defective. Tom mentioned it to me previously and Tuan above, the clutch just needs to be adjusted. I just could not believe that 2 of them would need adjusting!

Also, in addition to tightening the clutch, you need to do the following. With your bottle hooked into your system, or capped off, turn the bottle to full open. Then put your remote opener on top and clamp it down. Now your bottle should have full travel, opening and closing. Hi C54Tim
