Hazard switch or headlamp multifunction switch.

Does the turn indicator in the dash work? This can narrow the problem down.

Do the daytime running lights work? The DRL's use the turn signal bulb filaments.

Look at the first diagram. The signal power comes from the B triangle and goes in terminal B8, through a relay and then out terminal C9 to the light bulb. If the signal indicator in the dash works then the problem has to be in that part of the wiring harness.

Something that has always puzzled me is why these cars just don't use the DRL relay to control the front signals...

Pull off the knee bolster and there is a large connector to your left under the dash, that is C209.

See if you're getting a signal out of "B" or "C" by using a test light when the signal switch is on.

If so, your multi-function switch is working if not, that's your problem.

The next place to check would be at connector C146 which is located next to your battery and see if you're getting a signal there.

If not it's probably your hazard switch.

Check into your turn signal switch this is becoming a prominent issue with c-5s. There are some good how to's on how to repair your switch or replace it.

Some people have reported that if actuating your hazard switch several times with more or less vigor (don't hit it too hard) temporarily restores turn-signal function, then you know the hazard switch needs replacing. I understand that then you can either replace the hazard switch with another GM or do an upgrade with an aftermarket harness arrangement (forum has the info on this).

Which connector is c146 by the battery? I'm having a similar issue and have power coming out of both b and c terminals from the multifunction switch. trying to narrow it down to see where I have power and where I don't but there's like 6 or 7 connectors by the battery. thanks an advance for any and all help.
