I'm currently finalizing the ordering of my Heads/Cam. What other mods do I need to go along with this to make it complete?
Right now I have: Powerloader, Corsa Indy's, and the Vortex Ram Air.
I am ordering LS6 Ported Heads, Cam, TPIS Headers, and the Underdrive pulley. Do I really need a Ported Throttle Body or a Ported MAF? Is there anything else I am missing?
Once it's all installed (my brother and I are installing) I plan on taking it to one of the shops that are using LS1edit to get the custom programming done.
The torque converter would be a good idea. I would also get some nylon MAF ends and a ported throttle body since you are in there. Why are you going to get a Powerloader if you are going to get LS1 edit tuning? They both accomplish the same thing. It would be like getting a BBK throttle body and then getting your stock one ported
Already have the Powerloader, but getting that thing reprogramed could take awhile from what I've seen... So I figured the hell with it and I'll get it custom tuned. LS1edit seems to be working well for a lot of people so I figure it may be worth the extra 500-600 bucks to not deal with the hassle of sending back the powerloader.

Re: Heads/Cam and other mods... (wave_3)
You definitely will want a torque converter to optimize you set up on an A4. If you have 3.15 gear stay with that and get a yank 3000. If 2.73 gears upgrade to 3.42s with superyank 3500. This will give you a SOTP of about another 50 ponies. Also, since your going in the engine i would put a new heavy duty timing chain for peace of mind. THere have been a few horror stories here on head cam cars with the stock timing chain being a weak link.. I can recall one forum member (MEllow YEllow) who was the unfortunate soul who had this problem.. Its ironic b/c he recommended that i do it and i did and just when he was p lanning to do his own he crapped out on the timing chain.
