"CHEAPER" wiper control board fix
OK you all know the drill. Wiper control board gets wet and the fun starts...then the wallet empties. Those *@#% boards are expensive! Well just stumbled across this. There are [I]reman[I] and new complete motors complete with the board available from Cardone. (Before any one complains I have one of their power steering pumps one my one ton dually and NO PROBLEMS).
Anyway the part numbers and approximate cost are;
A-1 CARDONE Part # 401019 (Reman.)
$70-75.00 with a $30.00 refundable core charge
CARDONE SELECT Part # 851019 (new) $105-$120.00
Check your local part store or search online. Better than almost $200.00 for a new Delco.
Plan to get one in the next couple of days & put it in. I'll report back and let you know how it goes.

be proactive also, clean out the udders which cause the wiper motor to see in a bath of water/sludge

I've been using the reman. one I got at Autozone for 2 years now. Nothing wrong with them at all.
Clean those udders. I even went a step further and snipped the ends off mine.

OUCH clipped your udders....
I bought the car with the wiper motor swimming pool already installed. Cleaned the udders thanks to this forum. But alas too late for my poor VEEHICKLE.
Hopefully soon to have normal wipers.
