Default My H/C build is complete

I posted this in my Regional Section (160+ views and 2 responses).
Probably just a case of WGAF.

My builder/tuner (Tom Wong) finished my H/C build last Friday and , it's awesome.

My 03 A4 Coupe already had AR Headers, VaraRam B2, 3:42 gears, 2800 Yank Stall.

Here is a list of the new stuff he added:

New Z06 heads
Dual valve springs
Push rods
LS7 lifters
WPE custom grind cam 224/230 113 LSA
LS2 Timing chain
GM high volume, high pressure oil pump
Catch can
Powerbond 10% UD pulley

After the build, Tom applied his tuning prowess and yielded an amazing...

416 rwhp/392 rwtq.

...and it sounds nasty!!!!

Are those heads milled down and ported at all? If not those are exceptional results for an auto on his dyno.

It was a Mustang Dyno (SAE corrected).

I am not sure about the TC being locked. It may be. I know I asked him when the TCC locks, and later that day we set it to lock > 45 mph. On the dyno I watched him run it up "normally" to 4th gear, then he aggressively accelerates hard, but not hard enough to cause a downshift to 3rd.

4th is the overdrive.... the dyno pull was probably in 3rd which is direct.

Copy the IMG link beneath the photobucket picture, come back to this thread, and paste it in.
It will look something like this.

That's a lot of power for a stalled A4 on a MD with them mods!

Ask him if he was running a dyno jet simulator.

Mustang dynos differ in the way they measure performance when compared to a Dyno Jet. Mustang dynos are better tuning tools but result in a lower measured rwhp number.

I think the previous poster was asking if Tom used some sort of correction factor (perhaps within the Mustang dyno software) to give you numbers to compare with other Dyno Jets.

EDIT: Now that I think of it... I thought Tom had a Dynojet with an eddie current absorber on it?
