Default Special Rubber Padded Lifting Insert For Floor Jacks

I bought 4 of those BMW lifting pucks that snap into the lifting holes on the side of the C5. But now I am looking for something like this...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

to drop into my floor jack in place of the steel cup. I think it would work extremely well with those BMW pucks. Has anyone here found one that fits a standard floor jack? If so, where did you find it?

Maybe this one will work, but I need to take some measurements. One thing for sure, it is a bit pricy.

Ron, I found a similar pad at a local tool store when I was in Mi. I used it exclusively to lift my C5 when I used jack stands with pucks in the lifting holes.
I found I could lift the car anywhere along the rocker as long as I kept it under the car.
I know a lot of people will disagree with this but since 98 I never damaged my rockers lifting this way.
Your rocker is bonded to the frame from the bottom, in my case it was continuous for the entire length.
If you try this, do so with caution and look and listen carefully for pops or cracking sounds.
My guess is 99.9% of the C5's can be lifted this way with out issue.

If I'm using my jack and the pucks I use one of these.

install 1" wide x 3/8ths" thick aluminum strips along the rocker and you don't need pucks or pads
