I'm looking for engine dyno graphs of the stock LS1s and LS6s. I'm curious how updates and changes in design over the years affected performand and specifically where in the power curve these changes had the most effect.
If anyone knows where i can find this info, that would be awesome.
I assume that was an in-car dyno. what year is your car?
RF fwiw just look at the top or bottom of the dyno sheets for what dyno they were done on most will say. Clifs was done on the common Dynojet dyno (says on top of his dyno) which most guys dyno on. The other dyno type some guys dyno thier C5's on is a Mustang dyno. If it says Mustang dyno, most will dyno a little lower than Dynojet but not all some can be calibrated to match a dynojet to show almost the same numbers +/-. I take some dyno numbers with a grain of salt since they can vary depending on the shop, how they (dyno) were calibrated and other factors. Clif could dyno 275-285+rwhp on just dyno on another dynojet at a different shop. But if you research enough stock dynos on the net (other sites also) you will get an ideal in your own opinion of what the avg rwhp is for C5's and LS1's & LS6's but your going to need to find quite a few to get a good number for the avg rwhp imo. Also when looking at the dyno graphs look to see if it is in sae corrected or standard as stardard will show a higher rwhp & rwtq than sae corrected. The best way to get a good avg of differences is to look at dynos in sae corrected only imo.
RF hope quite a few guys post bone stock dyno charts here (keep bumping the tread) and search the net & other Corvette forums etc and just look for sae corrected on the dyno sheets then avg them out. One thing to keep in mind since you want to compare the performance of LS1’s to LS6’s motors and since Z06's LS6’s only come with manuals I would only look at LS1’s MANUAL C5 dyno data if you want to see a accurate difference of the rwhp&rwtq between the motors. Manuals from what I have seen imo can put out around on avg 15rwhp more than auto's (sae corrected) and as much as 20+rwhp at times vs some autos due to less loss of rwhp going though a manual trans. Also remember when looking at Z06 dyno sheets check the year of the vette there are two different LS6 motors when comparing 01 Z06 LS6 385hp & 02+ Z06 LS6 405hp.

that's why i'm especially interested in engine-only dynos.
I think it's about a 5% difference in output from an A4 to an M6.

lol ok I thought or just took you thread title as you wanted to see stock C5 dyno's (chassie) I didn't know you meant you were looking for engine dyno data. The only one I ever seen was from the link below on a LS1 but it had headers (only mod on baseline) but was dyno on an engine dyno and it dyno at 362hp /310tq @6.2k. I haven't seen or came accross any other engine dyno's data of an LS1 but I never looked for them either. Just researched chassie dynos on C5 LS1's a few months back. http://www.carcraft.com/howto/ls1_en...art_guide.html
