Half shaft questions
Hey all, I'm planning my next project and have a few questions about C5 half shafts.
What diameter are they?
Are they steel or some other metal?
I'm pretty sure they are locked in place at both ends (differential and hub) and not slip fit like a drive shaft, so how do they account for suspension travel. With the upper and lower control arms different lengths causing camber gain with suspension travel, I would think there would need to be a way for the half shafts to get longer or shorter as they move up and down.

There's a plastic snap ring on them that holds them in the diff-get the top "A" arm loose and give them a good yank and they come right out.
Don't pry them out or you could damage the CV boot,and be slinging grease everywhere .
