Head Bolts Question -
What is the difference between a 1999 LS1 headbolts and 2004 LS6 headbolts ? 
I read somewhere that ones are longer ?
Is the difference the heads or the block ?
Or both ?
When putting 2004 LS6 heads on my 1999 LS1 what bolts do I use ?

The difference is in the block.
On 97-03, the two outer head bolts in the middle row were shorter than the rest. Beginning in 2004, they all became the same length.
If you still have your 99 block, than you still use 99 head bolts.
