Default C5 Upper Ball Joint Part#??????

Having a lot of trouble finding UPPER Front and rear ball joints. These upper ball joints should be all the same part# for front and rear right?

Rock Auto has the LOWER MOOGs for front and rear but not upper. What gives?

Has anyone tried another brand other than Moog and if so what are your comments & would you have the part# and where you got it. It used to be you had to buy the whole control arm to get them.

Raybestos bought out Spicer and they list a UPPER but havent heard any good fead back like the Moog's!

Raybestos uppers- #5001128 $50.79 each

Moog lowers- #K6537 $90.00 each

This is for my SCCA 2003 Z06 T1 racer so I would like something that will hold up.

Thanks for any help!

Aaron

I am getting ready to redo my arms also. It is a little confusing trying to find part numbers.

I saw phadt was going to have the uppers in January, but they are still not there.

Pfadt has backed off making upper joints. I understand Spicer had the uppers. As far as Pfadt lowers, I just installed those last couple of weeks. Their dust shield does not fit well but company does not plan on getting anything better at this time. They simply recommend flushing with more grease between each event. However, I used a silicone sealant and safety wire to wrap around and under shield. I have no idea how long this may hold. Had I known, I probably would have gone with the Moog.

I would have to double check, but GM sells them with the knuckle. I would be happy to help you out if you were interested in new.

The Moog's are really heavy duty and come with a grease (zert fitting).

The Upper Spicer (Raybestos) are really nice too. I've done this a few time now for my cars and few friends cars.
