Sounds like it might be stripped. Did you lift the end of the spring up to relieve the pressure on the rubber pad on the lowering bolt that sits on the lower a arm? You turn it counter clockwise so more threads are showing above the spring. Good luck.

if so is there anything wrong with me putting a nut on the bolt and doing it that way cuz i had it on a hoist and the tension was off it.

With the car lifted you still have to raise the outer end of the spring to get the rubber bushing on the bolt off the A arm to turn the bolt. I know it seems crazy , but thats how you do it.

Its easier to just jack it up off the ground take wheel off Then use a small hydraulic jack to lift the end of the spring putting a rag between jack & spring so it doesn`t damage the spring. Good luck.

Be careful using the stock bolts....I had mine break twice after altering....I believe they sell a better grade bolt kit so that they dont break.
