This code came up awhile ago and I haven't really used the car since. The code came up after driving the car in the rain and going through a puddle. I did a search on it. I pulled the hose on the check valve and started the car and there wasn't any air coming from the hose but I could hear exhaust coming from the check valve. It's snowing here so I couldn't really get up under the car to check the pump. Also I read it could be the gas cap, how can I check this. I know the lines under the battery aren't corroded because I was in there last summer to have my computer reprogrammed and it was clean in there.(I drove the car for months with the reprogram so that isn't the problem). The only mod to the car beside the computer reprogram is one of those duel aircleaners from e bay. Otherwise the car is all stock. I had the pump out last summer when I replaced the radiator cradle and repainted the front bumper.
Any ideas and what else is there to check. Are the fuses the plastic type or is it one of those small relays.
I appreciate the help but hoping for someone who went through the problem and let me know what he replaced and what checks he did.
Well, if you still have this problem in Aug, I will let you know how I fixed it on mine. I get the code about every third of fourth time I start the car after I reset the code. I ran across someone on here who was taking theirs out and I bought the pump and check valves and hoses from him for a great price. I havent installed them yet as I am in Kuwait and dont return until the end of July. The first thing I am going to do is change the pump out and see if that was the problem. If not, I will put my stock one back in and chanve the check valves. And so on and so forth until I figure out exactly what the culprit was.
I'm sorry I cant be of any help to you now, if you figure it out, please post your fix, as I try to keep up with the P0410 threads.
