The bolt should be taken all the way to the end of the keepers! when you first set it down it will look like a 4x4 version. Take it for a ride it will settle down.
I left two threads showing. I have a Micro Soft Powerpoint presentation of how to lower a car. If you have power point I'd be happy to send it to ya!
Best of luck to you,
Tim
Your probably doing what I did. I put the jack under the END of the spring by the A-arm...this actually makes it tighter! You want to cover the jack with a towel and put it in the MIDDLE of the spring, jack it up a little bit and check, do that until it backs out.
I finally had time to finish this. With the spring off the car the threaded insert gave away from the spring before the bolt did. This was ok since it allowed me to use the torch on the bolt and break it free. I tightened it all the way down and am letting it settle before i decide to cut the bushings or not. It already dropped 3/4 of an inch just when I let it down off the jacks. Thanks everyone for your help! I needed it on that one.

Hi, I just recently had an '02 ZO6 converted to a T1 road race car. It has the full T1 springs and suspension. The car is stored away from home but I was thinking the rear had to be lowered next time out. Is the proceedure the same for lowering with the T1 suspension? I think the T1 kit has poly bushings so they probably shouldn't be cut? I didn't do the T1 install so don't know.
Thanks ahead, Nate
